Travel time is minimized to give the discerning traveler plenty of relaxation at luxurious beach resorts and cruising on spectacular Ha Long Bay. This is a unique and relaxing experience of first class service, in the best accommodation. Your journey starts in Ho Chi Minh City, or Saigon, as the locals still call it, where you can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of this exciting city. Then to Nha Trang, one of the most beautiful beaches in Asia, staying at Vietnam’s most luxurious resort. From Nha Trang we fly to the ancient town of Hoi An and then to peaceful Hue, with its majestic Citadel and palaces. The last days are spent on a traditional junk in spectacular Ha Long Bay and then to classical Hanoi, with its tree lined boulevards and classy French colonial villas.

Day 1 Arrive Ho Chi Minh City

After a warm welcome on arrival, we transfer to our luxury hotel. In the afternoon, we will have the opportunity to visit the controversial War Remnants Museum,  Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and the historic post office.

Day 2 Ho Chi Minh City - My Tho

Breakfast - Lunch

This morning we journey south to My Tho, the gateway to the Mekong Delta, and take a motor boat on the Tien Giang river and visit Thoi Son Island. This area is known as the rice bowl of Vietnam, then back  to Ho Chi Minh City and the the Ben Thanh market. With over 3,000 stalls, we’re sure you’ll find something interesting in this oldest and busiest market in Vietnam. Overnight at a luxury hotel in town.

Day 3 Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang

Breakfast - Lunch

Step back in time in Nha Trang, Vietnam’s most picturesque coastal town and beach resort. Spend  the day around Nha Trang beach, visiting the Tri Nguyen Aquarium and stopping for a delicious lunch of fresh sea food at a fishing village restaurant. We also take time for a city tour and visit one of Vietnam’s most impressive Cham Towers - Po Nagar. Overnight at a luxury resort.

Day 4 Nha Trang

Relax on the beach or have a an invigorating mud bath. Overnight at a luxury resort.

Day 5 Nha Trang

Breakfast

Free time. Today enjoy the pristine beaches, scuba diving, exploring beautiful Nha Trang Bay, or simply relax in a deckchair under a palm tree with a book and a martini as company, the choice is yours. Overnight at a luxury resort.

Day 6 Nha Trang - Da Nang - Hoi An

A short flight takes us to Da Nang , the third largest city in Vietnam.  Stop on the way to visit the famous Cham museum and impressive Marble Mountain. We continue to Hoi An, an ancient town of meandering narrow streets dating back to the 16th century. An afternoon tour is a chance to see the Japanese Bridge, Phuoc Kien Pagoda, the ancient house Tran Phu and the Hoi An museum. Enjoy shopping for tailor- made clothing, lanterns, shoes and food, or relax in one of the many cosy cafes. Overnight at a luxury resort.

Day 7 Hoi An

Free time to relax on the beach or discover the delights of ancient Hoi An. Overnight at a luxury resort.

Day 8 Hoi An - Da Nang - Hanoi

Breakfast – Dinner

After breakfast we fly to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. Visit the Ethnologic museum, one of the most interesting in Hanoi. Later we view the One Pillar Pagoda and learn more about the historical and cultural events at the peaceful Temple of Literature, known since the 11th century as the Vietnam’s first university, followed by an exhilarating, hour long cyclo tour through the bustling Old Quarter. A walk through its exciting streets is a fascinating introduction to the different lifestyles of Vietnam, and an opportunity to shop for bargains. To finish our day day, we attend the performance of the unique water puppetry.

Day 9 Hanoi - Ha Long

Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner

This morning, we depart for Ha Long Bay. Passing through the rich farmland of the Red River Delta;  enjoy the lush scenery and photo opportunities. Arriving at Ha Long Pier, board a traditional, but luxurious, wooden junk and cruise through the spectacular limestone islands rising from the tranquil emerald sea. Enjoy sumptuous on-board seafood and explore Sung Sot Cave, one of the most beautiful caves in the bay. Witness a splendid sunset. Dinner and overnight on your boat.

Day 10 Ha Long - Hanoi

Early morning coffee and tea will be served on the sundeck followed by a Tai Chi class as we continue exploring the magnificent Ha Long Bay. Change to a small motor or rowing boat to discover the Vung Vieng floating village. When you return to the junk, a sumptuous meal, combining Vietnamese and Western cuisine, will be served. On leaving the cruise, we depart for Bac Ninh Province to learn more of Vietnam’s fascinating history and culture. At Dinh Bang Village, we visit Do temple. This temple was built during the Le Dynasty and has been altered several times since, the major reconstruction taking place under the reign of Le Trung Hung in the 17th century. Then we enjoy a traditional music show, Quan Ho. Return to Hanoi and free time.

Day 11 Depart Hanoi
